About Us

Lesbian Support/womans group is up and running again! We are now meeting fortnightly on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. Socialising with a cuppa, playing pool, dvds and activities. We normally meet at MaLGRA/Club Q premises but for some meetings we will get out and about with a few events planned.

The Manawatu Lesbian Support Group is an organisation that includes both lesbians and women questioning their sexuality. We explore issues that affect lesbians within our community and beyond. We provide a safe place for coming out, and to meet and socialise with other lesbians.

Other activities include womans only events at Club Q, exhibitions of art and crafts, and workshops on various issues e.g. self defence, fighting discrimination. We also have sports teams playing soccer and softball.

We have a library with old and current magazines as well as books.

We have links to an email tree which can email you with details of local and lower North Island events for Lesbians.
